LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is an audience favorite any time of year, but San Diego Musical Theatre has brought it back just in time for a killer, man-eating plant to fit right in for the spooky month of October.
57 CHEVY
57 CHEVY, now streaming at San Diego Rep is a delightful road trip down memory lane in this one man show starring Ricardo Salinas. This comedic play provides plenty of characters and stories as it recounts life as an immigrant family, living up to a father's dreams for his kids, and the beloved 57 Chevy.
MY BROOKLYN HAMLET
It may be said that "Art imitates life" but one never hopes that their life imitates art, especially something akin to a Shakespearian tragedy. Yet, Brenda Adelman presents her one-woman show MY BROOKLYN HAMLET, which follows the way her life parallels HAMLET and shaped her childhood and life as an artist. Scripps Ranch Theatre and Oceanside Theatre Company are co-producing this streaming show, available through May 2nd.
TRYING
TRYING from North Coast Rep is an interesting portrait of two generations meeting and trying to be understood by the other. Streaming through April 18th
NECESSARY SACRIFICES
Douglass and Lincoln debate NECESSARY SACRIFICES at North Coast Repertory Theatre and the audience is privy to the (imagined) discussions on equality, racism, and politics during their historic meetings.
