Finally, JESSICA JONES is coming back to Netflix
Netflix released the trailer for the new season and it gives the audience a lot to look forward to discovering. when Marvel's Jessica Jones, the private investigator turned reluctant superhero is comes to Netflix on March 8th. Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, we last saw her killing her nemesis Kilgrave at the end of her first series, and protecting New York alongside Daredevil, Luke Cage, and the Iron Fist. Now she is found trying to get her life back to normal and back together, and figuring out how her past has brought her to this point.Personally, JESSICA JONES felt like the most successful of the Netflix Marvel collaborations (to me) followed by DAREDEVIL, and THE DEFENDERS. IRON FIST exists, but it’s not nearly as focused or have a character arc worth telling as the other three series.JESSICA and her appearances in THE DEFENDERS are successful because they allow her character to be a strong, flawed, and vulnerable person. She may have a smart mouth and a reckless disregard for her personal safety, but she is not a token woman superhero either. She is a hero, who happens to be a woman. The shows amazing cast returns with Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Danville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.March 8th seems like an awfully long time from now to wait….Here is a quick trailer to catch up on where Jessica has been and where she is going in Season two. Fittingly, the second series premiers on International Women's Day, March 8th on Netflix. March 8thPhoto Credit: Netflix
