About EM

So here’s the thing, I am completely normal.

I feel like you don’t believe me, and that’s rude.

I am a grown-up who has realized that being a grown-up allows me to decide when I in fact want to be a grown-up and when I don’t. I have pretty much never met an adventure that I said “no” to. When most people ask “Why?”, I ask “Why not?”

Art is fun, the people who talk & critique it sometimes aren’t.  I’m a nerd girl who wants to bring art & adventure more into peoples lives. I also work with kids in arts both as an enrichment and an educational tool.

If I can help make arts more accessible to others and encourage them to want to explore the art in their areas or that may include their pop culture favorites, then I feel liked I’ve succeeded.

I absolutely love theatre and reading as many books as humanly possible. I read books faster than most people read the forward and read as many as I can get my hands on (much to my husband’s chagrin as our house is always full of books)   🙂

I enjoy watching theatre and creating it if the opportunity presents itself. I see as many shows as I possibly can.  Most anytime I can be found singing, dancing acting and performing around town – sometimes even in theaters! I also write for other sites because apparently my opinions cannot be contained to just one place.

I am also a proud member of the San Diego Critics Circle, a non-profit organization of professional theatre critics who are dedicated to creating an open and honest dialogue about theater in San Diego county and to honoring artistic excellence.

I mean, I am a little bit totally just like a superhero. By day, I manage employees, bosses and deadlines,- which is a lot like herding cats.  By night, I go to as much theatre as I can without making my husband worry that I’ve run off without telling him he needs to feed the dogs.

This lifelong dedication to adventure, fun, and creativity leads me into the most incredible adventures. I am fairly confident that these happen to everyone, but I’ve been told that they don’t. So, sit back and enjoy the stories, then go make some of your own.

“What is life but a series of inspired follies? The difficulty is to find them to do.  Never lose a chance; it doesn’t come every day.” – George Bernard Shaw
